This is how I feel.
She told me her name was Dr. Fauci, so I trust her.
We work out together in the heat. Slowly, ’cause he’s old.
Demilitarize the police, maybe plaid uniforms.
This is how I want to feel.
Nightly, we offer a simple prayer: ‘Dear Lord, please protect us’ and then a long list of names.
We sleep good.
