We fought and we served and we left home and some of us never came back.
Not all of us wanted to be there.
But when we did serve and long after, we all understood we were there to protect your rights and your freedoms.
Our rights, our freedoms. Hell, our future. Our country’s, too.
Soldiers in other nations are armed to force subjects to stand when the flag unfurls.
Not here. Not then, not now, not ever.
